Babies Need to Heal From Birth, Too
The birth process is always a trauma, whether you’ve had a natural delivery or a C-section. Your baby’s body has been through a lot, and the head, neck, and spine might be out of place. Just as your body spends time healing after giving birth, your baby also needs to recover.
We recommend bringing your newborn in for a well baby checkup, as soon as the mom is feeling up to visiting the clinic. Babies respond well to adjustments from day one. We use either super light finger pressure or very light instrument adjusting to give babies safe, gentle care. Sometimes all it takes is holding newborns in a certain position to relieve tension from their spine and nervous system.
